Xerox Marketing

Here is an old advertisement we used at Xerox when we launched the famous 9200 duplicator.
This was one expensive machine and remember when these arrived we rented them and sold the prints.
The monthly commitment was in the millions and naturally the New Zealand Government printer installed them.

Sadly most companies do not train sales staff. However there are exceptions and this is one.
This is the XEROX training facility at Leesburg Virginia in the USA.

The company poured millions of dollars into training great sales staff. Some of whom have made it to the Elite Sales People page on this blog.

A Hifi dealer once told me he would not bother training his staff any more as when he did they left and went to the opposition.
My immediate thought was “well if they are not trained they may just stay and the opposition will still get the business”. Needless to say this happened in the UK [...]
